2 Chainz Biography

Tauheed Epps also goes by the name 2 Chainz. He is an American rapper. He is a native of Georgia, he began his musical career when he formed the hip-hop duo Playaz Circle, along with an old high school buddy. Their debut album, entitled Supply & Demand' was a moderate success. Epps his second album, 'Based on a T.R.U. Story', his debut studio album. It became a massive success, debuting at number one on the US Billboard 200. Within the first week of its release, it sold 147,000 copies. Following the release of the album, he has not looked back and has become one of the top rappers in the US. He's been shortlisted for six Grammy awards so far, out of which he has been awarded one for his track "No Problem". When his bag with marijuana and promethazine was discovered inside his luggage during a flight departure from Los Angeles International Airport, the singer was detained. The incident hasn't affected his popularity. The fourth studio album of his, "Pretty Girls Like Trap Music" was released in June of 2017. "Based on a T.R.U." Story', 2 Chainz's debut studio album could be considered as his debut major album and his biggest success. It was a huge success and reached the top spot in the US Billboard 200, as it selling 147,000 copies in a week. It ultimately sold 623,000 copies throughout the year. It was nominated at the 55th Grammy Awards for 'Best Rap Album'. Most reviews were negative. 2 Chainz married Kesha Ward in 2013. The couple has three children, Heaven and Harmony. He has a long and successful career but is well-known for his penchant for getting in legal trouble. He has been detained numerous times for drug possession.
