Alona Tal
Alona Tal is an Israeli-American performer and actress. She was born in Herzliya on October 20, 1983. She began her career as a soldier as a member of the Israeli Defense Forces. In 2003, she appeared in an Israeli film. This was her major break. She was also a part of two Israeli television shows at that time. She also experimented with recording songs in collaboration with Subliminal, an Israeli rapper. Tal moved in New York in New York with her sister. In New York, she collaborated with Haitian artist Wyclef Jean on the song "Party to Damascus". American television was where she found herself. Her first film role was one that was a regular in the show Veronica Mars. Tal was later offered a regular role in the short-lived CBS series. Prior to making the move to New York, Tal starred in two Israeli TV shows. Wyclef Jean recorded a hit song. Hebrew is her first language. Second choice for the character of Veronica on Veronica Mars (2004).Originally auditioned for Veronica Mars (2004) and was Rob Thomas' second choice to play the title role. Thomas loved her so much that he designed the character of Meg Manning specifically for her. She was in the Israeli Defense Forces. Her parents are Jewish, her father is Turkish/Jewish , and her mother is Polish/Jewish. She is Adrian Monk's spouse, who was murdered in the finale episode of Monk (2002).
