Anne Burrell

Anne W. Burrell (born on 25th August 1949) is an American TV chef who is a popular personality. Burrell was also an instructor for the Institute of Culinary Education. She is host of Secrets of a Restaurant Chef on Food Network. Food Network. Anne Burrell, with her signature spiky blonde locks and an energised persona on Food Network's Secrets of a Restaurant Cook series, reveals simple and easy to master cooking techniques that are suitable for the home cook. Chef Burrell is also a part of some of the top restaurants located in New York, studied the food culture and culinary traditions of Italy and competed on the Food Network's Iron Chef America. While growing up in Upstate New York, Chef Burrell developed a passion for cooking and food in her early years. She pursued her love of the restaurant industry by enrolling in The Culinary Institute of America following her graduation in English and Communications from Canisius College, Buffalo NY. The Culinary Institute of America was a fantastic learning experience. The Culinary Institute of America was a fantastic location to learn. Following her graduation, Chef Burrell went on to spend one time in Italy attending Italy's Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners while working at La Taverna del Lupo in Umbria and La Bottega del 30 a one Michelin-starred restaurant located in Tuscany. She gained a deeper knowledge of Italian culinary and cultural traditions throughout her time in Italy, which has influenced her cooking style. Burrell is a well-known ambassador for the Juvenile Diabetic Research Foundation and has been on the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board which assists kids with disabilities. As a guest speaker and mentor, she travels around the United States to discuss her love for cooking and career. Anne says she was incredibly fortunate in that she could share her true passion with other people.
